What makes the Audi RS5 special
Audi RS5 tuning: what a naturally aspirated V8 can add
The 4.2 FSI V8 is naturally aspirated; chip tuning with a GAN GA+ tuning box lifts it from 450 hp and 430 Nm to 486 hp and 464 Nm, within the module's rating of up to 12% more power. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car. The RS5 8T engine is a further development of the one in the RS4 B7. The 2.9 TFSI of the RS5 F5 is not in the catalogue.

Audi RS5 chiptuning: remap or tuning box?
A GAN tuning box is not an ECU remap: the factory software, checksums and flash counter stay as they are, and the module comes off in about a minute. Your manufacturer's warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.
Audi RS5 8T with S tronic: does the GAN module touch the gearbox?
No, the module does not reprogram the gearbox. Every RS5 8T has the seven-speed S tronic and quattro with a crown-gear centre differential.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
