Which GAN module fits the A14XER and the A14NET, and how much more power do they get?
The naturally aspirated A14XER works with the GAN GA+, and the turbocharged A14NET with the GAN GT. In the catalogue the Astra J 1.4 with 100 hp and 130 Nm reaches 112 hp and 146 Nm with the GAN GA+. The 1.4 Turbo with 140 hp and 200 Nm reaches 181 hp and 260 Nm with the GAN GT. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Which GAN module fits the CDTI diesels from Fiat, Isuzu and Opel?
A CDTI is a turbodiesel, so most CDTI engines work with the GAN GT, with separate figures for each power output. The 1.6 CDTI comes with several power outputs, for example 95, 110 and 136 hp in the Astra, so go by your stock figures. The catalogue covers the 1.3 CDTI with 95 hp, the 1.9 CDTI with 150 hp and the 2.0 CDTI with 160 hp.
Does the catalogue cover Opel Karl chiptuning, the Cascada and the Combo?
The Karl has a single engine in the catalogue, the 1.0 petrol, with the GAN GA+. For the Cascada there are the 1.4 Turbo with 120 and 140 hp, the 1.6 SIDI Turbo with 170 and 200 hp and the 2.0 CDTI BiTurbo, all with the GAN GT. The Combo is covered with the 1.3, 1.6 and 2.0 CDTI and a 1.4 petrol engine. The Frontera is not in the catalogue.

An ECU remap rewrites the factory software, while the GAN tuning module sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. The factory software, the checksums and the flash counter stay untouched, and the engine's factory protections remain active. The module plugs into the existing connectors and comes off in about a minute, and once it is removed no traces remain. An ECU remap permanently changes the maps in the ECU and leaves a trace in the flash counter. The GAN tuning module adjusts the sensor signals instead: the ECU stays in factory condition, and you can return the car to stock in about a minute.

Opel tuning: read the engine name first
Opel tuning with a tuning box starts with one point to settle: is the 1.4 ECOTEC turbocharged or not? The name will not tell you: ECOTEC is a trade name that Opel and GM use for petrol and diesel engines alike. The engine code does. In the Astra J the 1.4 with 100 hp is the naturally aspirated A14XER, and the 1.4 Turbo with 140 hp is the A14NET.
The first letter moves with the engine generation, from Z to A, B and D; the two digits give the capacity in tenths of a litre. On a Vauxhall, chip tuning follows the same engine codes, because the British models share their technology with their Opel twins.
Petrol engines: Turbo, SIDI and EDIT versus Twinport
In a petrol Opel, Turbo in the name means what it says: a turbocharger. The 1.6 SIDI Turbo, a direct injection turbo engine, comes with 170 or 200 hp. EDIT stands for ECOTEC Direct Injection Turbo; the 1.0 Turbo in the Adam, the Corsa E and the Astra K is one example. Twinport is the opposite case: an intake port system with flaps on the naturally aspirated 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 engines.
The Corsa F, launched in November 2019, has one engine in the catalogue: the 1.2 Turbo with 101 hp and 205 Nm. Most turbo engines work with the GAN GT, rated at up to 30% more power, and most naturally aspirated ones with the GAN GA+, rated at up to 12%. Which module suits your engine is always set by the catalogue. OPC, the performance division founded in 1997, built the Astra OPC with 240 and 280 hp and the Corsa OPC with 192 hp. In Great Britain these cars wear the VXR badge.

Diesel engines: a CDTI is always a turbodiesel
CDTI is Opel's name for a common rail turbodiesel: the 1.3, 1.6, 1.7, 1.9 and 2.0, plus a 2.2, a 2.3 and a 3.0 V6 in the catalogue. Their origins differ: the 1.3 and 1.9 are Fiat Multijet engines, the 1.7 comes from Isuzu, and the 1.6 is Opel's own. That in-house 1.6 CDTI has 110 and 136 hp in the Astra J from May 2014, and 95, 110 and 136 hp in the Astra K from July 2015.
The 2.0 CDTI BiTurbo has two turbochargers and 195 hp; it went into the Astra J from November 2012 and the Cascada from January 2013. ecoFLEX is a badge for versions with lower fuel use and CO2 output, not a separate engine. In the Astra J it marks versions of the 1.4, the 1.6, the 1.3 CDTI, the 1.7 CDTI and the 2.0 CDTI.
