How much more power does a Fiat 1.3 Multijet get from the GAN GT?
For the Fiat 500 with the 1.3 Multijet of 95 hp the catalogue shows 124 hp and 260 Nm with the GAN GT, up from 95 hp and 200 Nm. The 1.6 and 2.0 Multijet have their own figures, so go by the stock output of your car. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is there a module for the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo?
The TwinAir is a two-cylinder 0.9-litre turbo engine, sold in the 500 with 85 and 105 hp and in the Panda with 85 hp. In the catalogue, the 500 with the 105 hp TwinAir Turbo works with the GAN GT.
Is there a module for the 1.2 and 1.4 FIRE engines, as in Fiat Panda chiptuning?
The Panda III had the 1.2 8V FIRE with 69 hp, and the 500 has the 1.2 with 69 hp and the 1.4 16V with 101 hp. For these petrol engines the catalogue gives the GAN GA+, rated at up to 12% more power.
Tuning box or ECU remap for a Fiat Multijet?
Fiat chip tuning with a tuning box works without an ECU remap: a remap rewrites the factory software, while the box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. With the GAN module the factory software, checksums and flash counter stay untouched, and the engine's factory protections remain active. Once the module is removed, no traces remain: nothing is written to the ECU. Your manufacturer's warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.

An ECU remap permanently changes the maps in the ECU and leaves a trace in the flash counter. The GAN tuning module adjusts the sensor signals instead: the ECU stays in factory condition, and you can return the car to stock in about a minute.

Fiat tuning: the engine family decides the module
In Fiat tuning the engine family matters more than the model. A Fiat 500 came with a 1.2 of 69 hp and with a 0.9 TwinAir Turbo of 85 or 105 hp, and each needs a different tuning box. The 1.2 works with the GAN GA+ and the two-cylinder TwinAir Turbo with the GAN GT: one body, two different modules. Fiat called its first common-rail diesels JTD and the next generation Multijet, followed by Multijet II, 3 and 4.
The petrol families are FIRE (1.2 and 1.4), T-Jet (a turbo 1.4), MultiAir (1.4), TwinAir (0.9) and, since 2018, FireFly and GSE (1.0, 1.3 and 1.5). The Panda III, for example, had the 1.2 8V FIRE with 69 hp, the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo with 85 hp from 2011 to 2020 and the 1.3 Multijet with 75 hp until 2015. Fiat engine tuning on a Multijet, a T-Jet or a TwinAir Turbo relies on the GAN GT, rated at up to 30% more power.
Why the Ducato numbers are rounded
The Ducato, a twin of the Peugeot Boxer and the Citroën Jumper, is the main motorhome base in Europe. Its diesels include the Multijet 2.0, 2.3 and 3.0 from 2006 to 2021, and the 2.2 Multijet3 and 4 since 2021. The number in the name is rounded: the 150 Multijet makes 148 hp, the 160 Multijet 157 to 159 hp and the 180 Multijet 177 hp.
The engines come from several makers: PSA built the 2.0 JTD with 84 hp and the 2.2 100 Multijet, Iveco and FPT the 2.3, 2.8 and 3.0, and Fiat the 2.0 115 Multijet. Fiat Multijet tuning on a Ducato therefore begins with your van's real output, because the catalogue treats 148 hp and 150 hp as separate versions.

Models and the families behind them
The Punto (Typ 199) was built from 2005 to 2018 as the Grande Punto, the Punto Evo and the Punto. Its petrol engines ran from the 1.2 8V to the 1.4 MultiAir Turbo, its diesels from the 1.3 Multijet to the 1.9 JTD. The Tipo (Typ 356) arrived in 2015 with the 1.4 T-Jet and the 1.6 E-torQ, and the 1.0 FireFly Turbo came with the facelift of 2020 and 2021. Both Doblò generations have Multijet diesels, and the 2.0 Multijet with 135 hp is the top version of the second.
The 500X ran from 2014 to 2024, and until August 2018 it had a 1.4 MultiAir with 140 hp and a 2.0 Multijet with 140 hp. The 500L, a compact MPV built from 2012 to 2022, had the 0.9 TwinAir Turbo with 105 hp in its petrol range. The Fullback was a pickup built on the Mitsubishi L200, and the Freemont was the Dodge Journey.
