How much more power does the 1.0 EcoBoost get from the GAN GT?
For the Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost with 125 hp the catalogue shows 162 hp and 260 Nm with the GAN GT, up from 125 hp and 200 Nm. The Focus Mk3 1.0 EcoBoost with 125 hp is rated at 170 Nm rather than 200 Nm, so its GAN GT figures differ. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Ford chiptuning for diesels: do TDCi and EcoBlue engines both work with the GAN GT?
Yes, both are diesels, and both use the GAN GT. The name changed with the model: the Focus Mk4 has EcoBlue from 2018, the Mondeo from February 2019, and the Ranger from 2019.
Is there a module for the Duratec and Ti-VCT petrol engines?
The naturally aspirated Duratec and Ti-VCT engines, such as the 1.6 Ti-VCT of the Focus, are matched with the GAN GA+, rated at up to 12% more power.
Tuning box or ECU remap for a Ford EcoBoost?
Ford chip tuning with a tuning box is not an ECU remap: a remap rewrites the factory software, while the box sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. With the GAN module the factory software, checksums and flash counter stay untouched, and the engine's factory protections remain active. Once the module is removed, no traces remain: nothing is written to the ECU. Your manufacturer's warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.

Tuning box or ECU remap: which should I choose?
An ECU remap permanently changes the maps in the ECU and leaves a trace in the flash counter. The GAN tuning module adjusts the sensor signals instead: the ECU stays in factory condition, and you can return the car to stock in about a minute.
Ford chip tuning: what to know about the engines
Ford tuning starts with the 1.0 EcoBoost
One small engine opens Ford tuning with a tuning box: the 1.0 EcoBoost, a three-cylinder with 100, 125 or 140 hp. The Fiesta has had it since the facelift of September 2012 with 100 and 125 hp, and with 140 hp since August 2014. The Focus Mk3 has had the 1.0 EcoBoost with 100 and 125 hp since March 2012, the Puma has it with 95 and 125 hp, and the EcoSport Mk2 runs it too.
Ford names its engines by family. EcoBoost means a turbocharged petrol engine with direct injection, TDCi the Duratorq diesels, EcoBlue the newer diesels, and Duratec or Ti-VCT mostly the naturally aspirated petrol engines. EcoBoost, TDCi and EcoBlue engines work with the GAN GT, rated at up to 30% more power.
From TDCi to EcoBlue
In the cars the TDCi diesels run from 1.4 to 2.2 litres, the Ranger pickup adds 2.5, 3.0 and 3.2, and some were developed jointly with PSA. The Focus Mk3 had the 1.5 and 1.6 TDCi with 95 to 120 hp and the 2.0 TDCi with 115, 140 and 163 hp, and from September 2014 a 150 hp version. The Focus Mk4 from 2018 has the 1.5 EcoBlue with 95 and 120 hp and the 2.0 EcoBlue with 150 hp, and the Mondeo got the EcoBlue in February 2019. The Mondeo Mk4 has the 2.0 EcoBoost with 203 and 240 hp alongside the 1.8, 2.0 and 2.2 TDCi with 100 to 200 hp.
The Kuga II of 2012 to 2019 had the 1.6 EcoBoost with 150 and 182 hp, replaced from October 2014 by the 1.5 EcoBoost with the same outputs, and the 2.0 TDCi. From autumn 2017 it also had a 2.0 EcoBoost of 242 hp. The Ranger has used the 2.0 EcoBlue since 2019, with 130, 170 and 213 hp.

Petrol without a turbo, and the sporty versions
In the UK the models go by Mk numbers, such as the Mondeo Mk4, the Focus Mk3 and the Fiesta Mk7 and Mk8. The Focus Mk3 had a naturally aspirated 1.6 Ti-VCT with 85, 105 and 125 hp. The Fiesta had the 1.25 Duratec with 60 and 82 hp and the 1.6 Ti-VCT with 105, 120 and 134 hp.
The sporty versions use EcoBoost engines: the Fiesta ST with 182 hp from December 2012, the Focus ST with 250 hp from June 2012 and the Focus RS with 350 hp from 2016 to 2018. The Mustang has been sold officially in Europe only since the sixth generation, with a 2.3 EcoBoost of 317 hp and a 5.0 V8 of 421 hp.
