What makes the Fiat 500 special
Fiat 500 tuning: check the year, not the badge
Check the year of your car before Fiat 500 tuning with a tuning box: one badge can hide two different engines. The 0.9 TwinAir Turbo makes 86 hp, or 105 hp only between December 2013 and July 2018; both versions have 145 Nm. The 1.3 Multijet makes 75 hp and 145 Nm without a particulate filter, or 95 hp and 200 Nm with one.
The TwinAir and Multijet work with the GAN GT, while the 1.2 with 69 hp uses the GAN GA+. The 500C cabriolet, sold from 2009, has the same engines, so Fiat 500 cabrio tuning follows the same figures.

What does the GAN GT add to the 105 hp TwinAir in Fiat 500 chiptuning?
With the GAN GT the 105 hp TwinAir Turbo reaches 136 hp and 189 Nm, up from 105 hp and 145 Nm. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Do the 75 hp and 95 hp Multijet share the same figures?
No. The 95 hp Multijet with a particulate filter replaced the 75 hp version in 2009 or 2010, and the catalogue lists the two separately, both with the GAN GT.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
