What makes the Fiat Bravo/Brava special

Fiat Bravo tuning: two cars under one name

Fiat Bravo tuning, like Fiat Brava tuning, depends on the year: the name covers two cars. The Bravo and Brava, type 182, were built from autumn 1995 to summer 2001. The Bravo II, type 198, followed in 2007 and ran until July 2014. On the type 182, the Bravo was the three-door and the Brava the five-door.

For a tuning box on the type 182, the 1.9 JTD with 105 hp works with the GAN GT. The 2.0 petrol with 154 hp uses the GAN GA+. On the Bravo II, the 1.4 T-Jet with 120 and 150 hp and the MultiAir with 140 hp are matched to the GAN GT. Its diesels, the 1.6 Multijet with 105 and 120 hp, use the GAN GT as well.

In the catalogue the 1.4 T-Jet with 150 hp reaches 193 hp with the GAN GT, a gain of 43 hp. For a turbo petrol like the T-Jet, the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.

Fiat Bravo 1.9 JTD with 105 hp: what does the GAN GT give the first common-rail Bravo?

The JTD arrived with the facelift of autumn 1998 and was built with 105 hp until October 2000. With the GAN GT it gains 31 hp.

Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?

Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
