What makes the Fiat Stilo special
Fiat Stilo tuning: petrol first, diesel close behind
In Germany about 71% of the Stilo registered from 2002 to 2009 were petrol and about 28% diesel. Fiat Stilo tuning with a tuning box therefore falls into two groups: the 1.9 diesels and the petrol engines. For Fiat Stilo 1.9 JTD tuning, the catalogue lists 80, 90, 101, 116, 120, 126, 140 and 150 hp, and each works with the GAN GT. The 1.6 16V with 103 hp uses the GAN GA+.
So does the five-cylinder 2.4 20V, found only in a few sporty trims such as the Abarth. The petrol 1.2, the 1.4 with 90 hp and the 1.8 are not in the catalogue. Sales began in autumn 2001, and production of the hatchbacks ended in November 2006.

The catalogue lists this engine at 116 hp, and with the GAN GT it reaches 151 hp, a gain of 35 hp. The 1.9 JTD is a turbodiesel, and for such engines the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
What does the GAN GA+ give the Stilo 1.6 16V with 103 hp?
The GAN GA+ gives up to 12% more power, and in the catalogue the gain is 12 hp.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
