What makes the Ford Puma special
Ford Puma tuning: coupé or crossover?
Ford has used the Puma name twice: for a coupé built from 1997 to 2001 and for the crossover sold since 2019. Which of the two you drive decides what Ford Puma tuning with a tuning box means. The coupé had the 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7 Zetec-S, and of these the catalogue covers the 1.7 with 125 hp, which works with the GAN GA+.
Puma 1.0 EcoBoost tuning takes in the 95 and 125 hp versions and the Hybrid with 125 and 155 hp, so even 125 hp can mean two different engines. Ford Puma ST tuning means the 1.5 EcoBoost with 200 hp, built from 2020 to 2024. All these crossover engines work with the GAN GT.

With the GAN GT the 155 hp Hybrid reaches 188 hp. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Chip tuning for a Ford Puma 1.0 EcoBoost: what does the oil pump belt need?
On the Puma's 1.0 EcoBoost the camshafts are chain-driven, while the oil pump belt runs in oil. The belt needs the engine oil that Ford specifies, otherwise it wears faster.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
