What makes the GAZ Gazel special
Gazel tuning: GAZelle and GAZelle Next
The classic GAZelle reached Poland and the Czech Republic as an export but was not sold widely in the EU. EU sales of the GAZelle Next are not confirmed. Gazel tuning with a tuning box comes down to a single engine: the 2.8 Cummins ISF, a four-cylinder turbodiesel fitted to the GAZelle Business from 2010 and the GAZelle Next from 2013. Being a turbo engine, it works with the GAN GT.

With the GAN GT the Cummins ISF 2.8 of this GAZelle reaches 155 hp. For a turbo diesel the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power; these are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
GAZelle Next remap or tuning box: what stays untouched on a working van?
An ECU remap rewrites the factory software, while the GAN module sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals. The factory software, checksums and flash counter stay untouched, and the engine's factory protections remain active.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
