What makes the Honda ZR-V special
Honda ZR-V tuning: the 1.5 Turbo against the e:HEV
Honda ZR-V tuning starts with a distinction: the 1.5 Turbo with 178 hp and the 2.0 e:HEV with 184 hp are two different cars with the same name. In Europe the ZR-V has been sold since late 2023 with the 2.0 e:HEV only: a 143 hp petrol engine and two electric motors with a combined 184 hp and 315 Nm. The catalogue has a tuning box only for the other version, the 1.5 Turbo sold in Japan.
In China the 1.5 Turbo is rated at 182 hp. Spellings vary: ZRV, ZR-V or ZR V.

Honda ZR-V chip tuning: what does the 1.5 Turbo gain?
With the GAN GT the Japanese 1.5 Turbo goes from 178 hp and 240 Nm to 215 hp and 290 Nm; the European ZR-V has no 1.5 Turbo. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is there a tuning box for the ZR-V e:HEV?
No. The 2.0 e:HEV is not in the catalogue.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
