JAC T8 Pro tuning for load and trailer
On a long climb with a full load or a trailer, the JAC T8 Pro relies on a 2.4 Turbo petrol engine with 204 hp and 320 Nm. That is the version sold in Germany and Switzerland. The engine is the Mitsubishi-built 4K22D4T, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and selectable four-wheel drive with low range. The catalogue has a tuning box for this engine: with the GAN GT a T8 Pro reaches 247 hp and 387 Nm. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.

JAC T8 chip tuning: which GAN GT figures fit the 2.4 Turbo?
The catalogue lists the 2.4 Turbo with 204 hp and with 211 hp; the European car makes 204 hp and 320 Nm, so the 204 hp version is yours. The GAN GT line for turbo engines is rated at up to 30% more power.
DR PK8 and EVO Cross 4: do the JAC T8 figures apply?
The T8 Pro also comes as a diesel: the 2.0 CTI with 139 hp and 320 Nm. The DR PK8 is the T8 Pro's equivalent and the EVO Cross 4 matches the basic T8; both come with a 2.0 turbo diesel of 136 hp. The 2.0 diesel is not in the catalogue. The JAC T8 figures apply only to the 2.4 Turbo petrol engine.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
