What makes the Jaguar XF special

Jaguar XF tuning: the 3.0 V6 Diesel comes first

The 3.0 V6 Diesel is the engine to look at first in Jaguar XF tuning with a tuning box: it makes 240 hp, or 275 hp and 600 Nm as the S version. The 2.2 D and the Ingenium 2.0 D diesels work with the GAN GT as well. In the petrol range the 3.0 V6 with 238 hp and the 4.2 V8 with 298 hp use the GAN GA+. The supercharged 3.0 V6 with 340 and 380 hp is matched with the GAN GT, and that split between the two modules is the first thing to settle in Jaguar XF chip tuning.

Jaguar XF 3.0 diesel tuning: how much more power does the 275 hp S get?

With the GAN GT the XF 3.0 V6 Diesel S goes from 275 hp and 600 Nm to 346 hp and 734 Nm. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.

What does a tuning box add to the XF V8 and the Supercharged V6?

With the GAN GA+ the 4.2 V8 with 298 hp gains 24 hp and 33 Nm, within the module's rating of up to 12% more power. On the supercharged 3.0 V6 with 340 hp the GAN GT adds 69 hp and 88 Nm.

Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?

Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
