What makes the Kia K4 special
Kia K4 tuning: the European hatchback and the saloon engines
Kia showed the European K4 on 17 September 2025 as a five-door hatchback, with deliveries from the fourth quarter of that year. Kia K4 tuning starts with the engine, because a tuning box is matched to one engine, not to a model name. The two engines in the catalogue, the 1.6 T and the 2.0, belong to saloons from other markets, not to this hatchback.
The hatchback itself comes with the 1.0 T-GDi at 115 hp and the 1.6 T-GDi at 150 or 180 hp. The figures on this page refer to these two saloon engines only.

Can you tune the Kia K4 hatchback?
The 1.0 T-GDi and the 1.6 T-GDi of the hatchback are not in the catalogue.
Which car does the 175 hp 1.6 T belong to?
The 1.6 T with 175 hp and 265 Nm matches an earlier K4 saloon sold outside Europe, not the hatchback's 1.6 T-GDi. With the GAN GT this engine reaches 212 hp and 321 Nm; the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
