Which figure belongs to the European CX-7: 260, 244 or 238 hp? The European 2.3 DISI Turbo makes 260 hp. For Mazda CX7 tuning with a tuning box, the petrol engine is therefore the turbocharged 2.3 with 260 hp and 380 Nm.
In the catalogue it is paired with the GAN GA+. From October 2009 the CX-7 also had the 2.2 MZR-CD diesel with 173 hp and 400 Nm, and Mazda CX 7 diesel chip tuning means the GAN GT. The CX-7 was built from February 2006 to August 2012 and reached Europe in autumn 2007.

Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
