What makes the Mercedes-Benz SLK R170 special
Mercedes SLK R170 tuning: the V6 and the Kompressor side by side
The SLK 320 and the SLK 230 Kompressor of the R170 get their power in different ways. The 320 has a 3.2-litre V6 with 218 hp and 310 Nm, and the 230 Kompressor has a supercharged engine with 197 hp. The V6 SLK 320 arrived with the facelift of February 2000, and the R170 was built from 1996 until the R171 followed in spring 2004. On the R170 page the catalogue covers a single engine, the naturally aspirated SLK 320, which works with the GAN GA+.
With the GAN GA+ it goes from 218 hp and 310 Nm to 244 hp and 347 Nm. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car. The SLK 230 Kompressor is listed on the Mercedes SLK R171 page. The SLK 200 Kompressor is not listed separately for the SLK R170: the same engine appears as the 200 Kompressor 2.0 of the Mercedes C-Class W203.
How much does the GAN GA+ add to the SLK 320?
