What makes the Peugeot 2008 special
Peugeot 2008 tuning: mostly first-generation engines
A Peugeot 2008 of 2020 or 2021 is usually the second generation, while most of the engines in the catalogue belong to the first. The first 2008 was built from 2013 to 2019 on the 208 platform; the second was unveiled on 19 June 2019. It reached Germany in late November 2019, with the official launch on 25 January 2020.
Its petrol engines are three-cylinder PureTech turbos and its diesel the 1.5 BlueHDi with SCR and AdBlue. The electric e-2008 is not in the catalogue. A tuning box for this model therefore depends on the generation, so check the year of your car before you choose.
First-generation engines
The 1.2 PureTech 110 is a turbo engine with 205 Nm, built from March 2015 to July 2018, and it works with the GAN GT. The 1.2 PureTech 130 with 230 Nm was offered in the first 2008 from the facelift of 2016, in the top trim. The 1.6 VTi 120 had 160 Nm and ran from March 2013 to March 2015, and it uses the GAN GA+. The 1.4 HDi has 68 hp and 160 Nm, and the 1.6 e-HDi has 92 hp and 230 Nm or 115 hp and 270 Nm.
The 1.6 BlueHDi has 99 to 100 hp and 254 Nm from March 2015 to April 2018, and a 120 hp version with 300 Nm. The HDi, e-HDi and BlueHDi diesels are all matched to the GAN GT. The facelift of 2016 brought the vertical grille with the lion.
Peugeot 2008 chip tuning: questions
What does chip tuning add to a 2008 1.2 PureTech 110?
A tuned 2008 with the 110 hp engine ends up at 143 hp and 267 Nm. The GAN GT line is rated at up to 30% more power; these are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
2008 1.6 BlueHDi 100 or 120 hp: which version?
Choose the 100 hp version if your car has 99 to 100 hp and 254 Nm, and the 120 hp version if it has 300 Nm.
Is a 2008 from 2020 or 2021 covered?
The engines listed here belong to the first generation, apart from the 1.2 PureTech 130, which both generations share. The 1.2 PureTech 100 has no entry of its own in the 2008 catalogue: the same engine is listed as the 1.2 PureTech 100 of the Peugeot 208. The 1.5 BlueHDi 100 is not listed separately for the 2008 either: the same engine appears as the 1.5 BlueHDi 100 of the Peugeot 308. Likewise the 1.5 BlueHDi 130, the more powerful diesel, is not listed for the 2008 but under the Peugeot 3008, as the 1.5 BlueHDi 130. The 1.2 PureTech 155 and the mild hybrids of 2024 are not in the catalogue.
Tuning box or ECU remap on a Peugeot 2008?

Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
