Ram 1500 tuning: a pickup built for North America
Ram 1500 tuning with a tuning box starts with the market: the Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup built for North America, at plants in the USA and Mexico. In Europe it arrives through importers and is adapted to European standards. KW Auto has been the official importer of Dodge and Ram in the EU and EFTA since 2017, and AEC Europe in Munich has also handled the Ram since 2018.
The towing limit in Europe is 3.5 tonnes. In English the model is simply the Ram 1500, and it was the Dodge Ram 1500 before 2010. The fourth generation, the DS, ran from 2009 to 2018 and carried on as the Ram 1500 Classic until 2024. The fifth generation, the DT, started with model year 2019.

The catalogue shows 427 hp and 596 Nm with the GAN GA+, up from 395 hp and 552 Nm. The line gives up to 12% more power, and this engine stays within that figure. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Can a tuning box lower fuel consumption on a Ram 1500?
The GAN GA+ line gives up to 15% lower fuel consumption with an economical driving style. On this page that applies to the 5.7 Hemi, which uses the GAN GA+.
What about the Pentastar 3.6 V6, the Hurricane 3.0 or the TRX?
The Pentastar 3.6 eTorque can be found on the Dodge RAM 1500 page. The Hurricane 3.0 twin-turbo and the TRX 6.2 V8 are not in the catalogue.
Does the GAN module change the mechanics of the 5.7 Hemi?
The GAN tuning module only adjusts the signals of the engine sensors, so it does not remove a mechanical cause. It plugs into the existing connectors and comes off in about a minute.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
