What makes the Suzuki SX4 special
Suzuki SX4 tuning: the autumn of 2009 split the range
Germany registered 52,303 new SX4s between 2006 and 2015, with 2009 the best year at 8,067. Suzuki SX4 tuning with a tuning box also turns on that year, because new emission rules changed the engines. The 1.6 VVT grew from 107 to 117 hp, and the 1.9 DDiS with 120 hp and 280 Nm gave way to the 2.0 DDiS with 135 hp and 320 Nm. The 1.6 made 107 hp until August 2009, the 1.9 DDiS ran from June 2006 to August 2009, and the 2.0 DDiS followed from September 2009 to June 2014. The petrol 1.6 VVT works with the GAN GA+, which takes the 107 hp version to 120 hp.
Which version you have comes down to those two dates. The sedan joined the hatchback in October 2007, and the crossover came with i-AWD four-wheel drive; SX4 sedan tuning follows the same dates. The Fiat Sedici is the same car, built at Magyar Suzuki in Hungary. Two 2.0 petrol versions in the catalogue, with 143 hp and 150 hp, were never sold in Europe.
Diesels and the S-Cross
Germany had two diesels, the 1.9 DDiS with 120 hp and the 2.0 DDiS with 135 hp, and both work with the GAN GT. The catalogue also lists a 1.6 DDiS with 90 hp. The second generation, the SX4 S-Cross, reached Europe in autumn 2013, also built in Hungary. Its 1.6 DDiS with 120 hp and 320 Nm is listed on this page as the S-Cross 1.6 DDiS.
The S-Cross had front-wheel drive or AllGrip, and from June 2015 the AllGrip diesel came with a six-speed twin-clutch gearbox. The later 1.4 BoosterJet, with 140 hp and as the 129 hp mild hybrid, has no entry of its own in the SX4 catalogue: the same engine is listed as the 1.4 Boosterjet of the Suzuki Vitara 2015. The S-Cross 1.0 BoosterJet is not in the catalogue.

How much more power does the GAN GT give the SX4 2.0 DDiS?
The 2.0 DDiS goes from 135 hp and 320 Nm stock to 175 hp and 409 Nm with the GAN GT. In chip tuning for turbo engines the GAN GT is rated at up to 30% more power. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is the S-Cross 1.6 DDiS in the same engine family?
Yes: like the 1.9 and 2.0 DDiS of the SX4, it is a Fiat Multijet diesel. The S-Cross 1.6 DDiS is the D16AA, with 120 hp and 320 Nm from 2013. It works with the GAN GT and is listed at 156 hp and 409 Nm with the module.
Which GAN module fits the SX4 1.9 DDiS?
The 1.9 DDiS of 2006 to 2009 uses the GAN GT: 120 hp and 280 Nm stock, 156 hp and 361 Nm with the module.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
