What makes the Toyota Aygo special
Aygo tuning: one engine, three brands
The Toyota Aygo's 1.0 VVT-i, a 998 cc three-cylinder petrol engine, also powers the Citroën C1 and the Peugeot 107 and 108. All three were built at the same plant in Kolín with this engine. The catalogue figures, 68 hp and 93 Nm, are those of the first-generation engine, which works with the GAN GA+ for up to 12% more power.
The 69 hp and 72 hp versions of the second generation are not in the catalogue. The 54 hp 1.4 D-4D diesel, built from 2005 to 2007, was not sold officially in Germany (Switzerland and imports only); it works with the GAN GT.

The 68 hp engine goes to 76 hp and 104 Nm. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
How much more power does a GAN GT give the Aygo 1.4 D-4D?
The diesel's 54 hp and 130 Nm become 70 hp and 169 Nm. The Aygo X of 2022, with its 72 hp 1.0, is not in the catalogue. The Aygo X hybrid has no entry of its own in the Aygo catalogue: the same engine is listed as the 1.5 H of the Toyota Yaris IV.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
