What makes the Volkswagen Arteon special
VW Arteon tuning: engine by engine
The Arteon (Typ 3H) shares the MQB platform of the Passat B8 and reached customers in June 2017. The 1.5 TSI is not listed separately for the Arteon: you will find the same engine under the VW T-Roc 1.5 TSI. The 2.0 TSI with 272 hp is likewise covered under another model, as the 2.0 TSI of the Škoda Superb III. For Arteon 2.0 TDI tuning with a tuning box, the diesels with 150, 190, 200 and 240 hp and the 2.0 TSI with 190 and 280 hp all work with the GAN GT.
The Shooting Brake of June 2020 shares these engines and figures. The Arteon R appears under the VW Golf VIII instead, where the same engine is the 2.0 TSI R. For the eHybrid, look under the Škoda Superb III: the same engine appears there as the 1.4 TSI Hybrid 218.

Is there a VW Arteon 2010?
No. The first Arteon was shown in Geneva on 6 March 2017.
How much more power does VW Arteon chiptuning give the 2.0 TDI with 190 hp?
With the GAN GT the Arteon diesel goes from 190 hp and 400 Nm to 225 hp and 505 Nm. The GAN GT line is rated at up to 30% more power; these are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
