What makes the Geely Tugella special
Geely Tugella tuning: one turbo engine
The Tugella has one engine in the catalogue, the 2.0 turbo, listed in two versions: 200 hp and the JLH-4G20TDB with 238 hp, both with 350 Nm. So Geely Tugella tuning with a tuning box comes down to the GAN GT for the 2.0T. In China the car is the Xingyue S, code FY11, and since 2023 Geely has built it for export only. It is not part of Geely's European range, which includes the EX5, EX2, Starray and Coolray and, from October 2026, the Monjaro EM-i.

Tugella stage 1 or a tuning box: what stays untouched, and what about the warranty?
A stage 1 file rewrites the engine software; the GAN module instead sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and leaves the factory software, checksums and flash counter untouched. Your manufacturer's warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
