What makes the Jeep Renegade special
Jeep Renegade tuning before and after September 2018
In September 2018 the Jeep Renegade got a new engine range, which splits Renegade tuning into two eras. Match the tuning box to the era first; on a first-series car, chip tuning then follows the engine, not the trim. The first Renegade, the BU of October 2014 to August 2018, had the 1.6 E.torQ with 110 hp and 152 Nm. It also had the 1.4 MultiAir Turbo with 140 hp and 230 Nm, or with 170 hp and 250 Nm. The 170 hp version came with four-wheel drive and an automatic only.
The diesels were the 1.6 MultiJet with 120 hp and 320 Nm and the 2.0 MultiJet with 140 hp or 170 hp, both with 350 Nm and four-wheel drive. The 1.6 MultiJet with 95 hp, sold from March 2017, is not in the catalogue. On this page the 1.6 MultiJet with 120 hp appears as the 1.6 CRD. Of these only the 1.6 E.torQ is naturally aspirated.
The range from 2018
The facelift dropped the 1.4 MultiAir and the 1.6 E.torQ and brought the three-cylinder 1.0 FireFly T3 with 120 hp and 190 Nm. The 1.3 FireFly T4 with 150 hp or 180 hp, both with 270 Nm, is not in the catalogue. The 1.6 MultiJet with 120 hp and the 2.0 MultiJet with 140 hp and 170 hp ran until August 2020.
The catalogue versions with a 1.8 or a 2.4 petrol engine, a 1.4 turbo with 150 hp or a 2.0 MultiJet with 120 hp do not belong to the European range. A 1.6 MultiJet with 130 hp was sold from January 2021 to March 2022, and after that the Renegade has no diesel. The Trailhawk is a trim, not an engine.

How much more power does the Renegade 2.0 MultiJet 170 get?
With the GAN GT the 2.0 MultiJet 170 rises from 170 hp and 350 Nm to 218 hp and 447 Nm. The GAN GT line is rated at up to 30% more power, and the 1.6 E.torQ with the GAN GA+ at up to 12%. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Which Renegade 1.4 MultiAir do I have, the 140 hp or the 170 hp?
Go by the output of your car, and remember that the 170 hp version has four-wheel drive and an automatic. The GAN GT suits both of them.
Is there Jeep Renegade chiptuning for the 1.0 T3?
Yes, the 1.0 FireFly T3 with 120 hp and 190 Nm works with the GAN GT.
Renegade 4xe or e-Hybrid: is there a GAN module?
The 4xe plug-in hybrid from July 2020 and the 1.5 e-Hybrid from March 2022 are not in the catalogue.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
