Each engine has its own tuning module: GAN GT / GTL or GAN GA / GA+. Prices are per tuning module and include the current discount.
Not sure which engine you have?
The badge alone is not enough: in this generation, the same engine designation came in different power outputs, each with its own calibration. Check the power output in your registration document and find the matching row.

Ford Focus III tuning: what changes
The tuning module sits between the sensors and the engine control unit (ECU) and adjusts their signals. Your manufacturer’s warranty is preserved: the ECU software is never changed, and the module can be removed at any time.

What makes the Ford Focus III special
Ford Focus 3 tuning: start with the ST and RS
Ford Focus Mk3 tuning with a tuning box starts with the two fast versions: the ST with its 2.0 EcoBoost of 250 hp and the RS with a 2.3 EcoBoost of 350 hp. The ST 2.0 EcoBoost arrived in June 2012, a diesel ST with 185 hp followed in November 2014, and the RS was built from January 2016 to April 2018. Both petrols are turbo engines, so they work with the GAN GT, as does the ST 2.0 TDCi.
The everyday Mk3 engines
Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost tuning begins with the 101 and 125 hp versions of March 2012; a 140 hp version joined them in 2017. In September 2014 the 1.5 EcoBoost with 150 and 182 hp took over from the 1.6 EcoBoost with the same outputs; both are covered by the GAN GT. The diesels use the GAN GT too: the 1.6 TDCi with 95 to 116 hp, the 1.5 TDCi with 95, 105 and 120 hp that succeeded it in September 2014, and the 2.0 TDCi. The naturally aspirated 1.6 Ti-VCT with 85, 105 and 125 hp is matched with the GAN GA+.
Ford Focus III chip tuning: questions
What does the GAN GT add to the Focus ST 2.0 EcoBoost?
For the ST with 250 hp and 360 Nm the catalogue shows 317 hp and 457 Nm with the GAN GT. These are the stated gains for this engine type, not a dyno reading of your car.
Does Ford Focus Mk3 chiptuning change anything for the 1.6 EcoBoost recall?
The recall covers the petrol 1.6 EcoBoost with 150 and 182 hp built between July 2010 and September 2014, where poor coolant circulation can overheat the cylinder head. The facelift 1.5 EcoBoost is not affected; whether your car is included depends on its build date, so ask a Ford dealer. Unlike a remap of the Focus ECU, which rewrites the factory software, the GAN module sits between the engine sensors and the ECU and adjusts their signals.
Is Ford Focus chip tuning possible on the naturally aspirated 1.6 engines?
Yes: the 1.6 Ti-VCT with 85, 105 and 125 hp uses the GAN GA+, which is rated at up to 12% more power.
Is a tuning module the same as a Stage 1 tune?
Not quite. Stage 1 usually means an ECU remap without replacing any parts. The tuning module also works without replacing parts, but it does not change the ECU software: it adjusts the sensor signals, comes off in about a minute, and the OFF button in the app restores the factory settings.
